A slice of Sicily

Long weekend in heaven

Josh and I were lucky enough to be invited to visit Josh’s brother and sis in law in Sicily in Sept. They had rented a villa in Castellamare del Golfo. Northern part about 30 minutes from Palermo. It was a breathtaking part of the world. Full of pasta I’ve never seen and sweetness I’ve since dreamed about.

Our room in the villa.

Heading to the beach. Spiagge Pulite

Love these beach slides!!

Josh bought this “wrap” blanket from a beach vendor. He loves it so much!

We hiked the Zingaro trail, which was amazing and the highlight of the trip.

This is real!!

The whole gang.

We were invited to a friend of Eric and Isabelle for a family meal of fresh pasta. Monster pasta boil!

Vineyard tour!!

We visited the medieval town of Erice, close to the port town of Trapani. Amazing churches, white and wonderful.

Walking the streets of Erice with Eric!

The view from the Castello di Venere. An ancient Temple.

San Vito Lo Capo was another beach town we visited. There was a Cous Cous festival the day we were there.

Gelato bellissimo!

Cafes!!

Seafood heaven!

And treasures!

Sicily has it all! You all MUST visit Sicily! Ciao! Ciao!
