These paintings are called Freehand Faces. I like to draw these as a single continuous line. It is a like a life. It starts at one point, turns, curves, goes up and down and finally ends, but when it stops there is hopefully something very interesting left.

 

These portraits are drawn from faces of people I see or know or meet on travels. Wherever. Interesting faces invariably leave a wonderful impression on me. For these I used the concept of portraits featuring the curious notion of love, how it is always around us and how it sometimes defines us.

 

I collage these and section them as we do with our lives. Highlighting the good parts.
